Ontario Tech acknowledges the lands and people of the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation.

We are thankful to be welcome on these lands in friendship. The lands we are situated on are covered by the Williams Treaties and are the traditional territory of the Mississaugas, a branch of the greater Anishinaabeg Nation, including Algonquin, Ojibway, Odawa and Pottawatomi. These lands remain home to many Indigenous nations and peoples.

We acknowledge this land out of respect for the Indigenous nations who have cared for Turtle Island, also called North America, from before the arrival of settler peoples until this day. Most importantly, we acknowledge that the history of these lands has been tainted by poor treatment and a lack of friendship with the First Nations who call them home.

This history is something we are all affected by because we are all treaty people in Canada. We all have a shared history to reflect on, and each of us is affected by this history in different ways. Our past defines our present, but if we move forward as friends and allies, then it does not have to define our future.

My favourite Bath and Body Works scents

May 30, 2022

I remember going to Bath and Body Works and not even knowing where to begin in finding the scents that I’d like. It took lots of trial and error and smell tests to find my favourite scents. So I thought I’d compile a list of them to hopefully make your next Bath and Body Works trip a little easier and less time-consuming!

Black Cherry Merlot

This is my top favourite, so much so that I have it in the hand soap version, wallflower plugs, hand sanitizer, and candle! The Bath and Body Works website describes it as “Dark Cherry, Black Raspberry, Sumptuous Merlot with Essential Oils”. It is fruity but not too sweet. It is truly the perfect berry smell!

Peach Bellini

If you love peaches, this scent is for you. Every time I go to Bath and Body Works I have to get something that is Peach Bellini scented. The Bath and Body Works website describes it as “A delicious twist of juicy peach, white apricot & fresh mango”. It smells just like the Peach Bellini cocktail I wish I was drinking on the beach right now.

Beautiful Day

This scent is really what a beautiful day smells like in my world. This is another staple that I get every time I go Bath and Body Works shopping. The Bath and Body Works website describes it as “Sun-Kissed Apple, Wild Daisies, Pink Peonies with Essential Oils”. It’s a happy, floral, and fruity scent that I love and repurchase time and time again.

Turquoise Waters

Granted, when I first bought this, I bought it for the colour. It’s a very pretty blue, but I ended up loving it and also have to repurchase it every time. The Bath and Body Works website describes it as “Coastal Waves, Sparkling Bergamot, Sun-Drenched Musk with Essential Oils”. It’s a very subtle and fresh scent that reminds me of a nice cool breeze near the ocean.

I hope these recommendations help! Happy shopping!
